Nexa AI ("we", "our", "us") is designed from the ground up to respect user privacy. Nexa AI operates as a local desktop overlay tool on macOS. We prioritize absolute user data privacy by processing voice transcriptions in ephemeral local memory.
2. Data Collection and Audio Capture
Nexa AI utilizes native macOS SystemAudioDump APIs to process speaker audio streams locally on your device:
- No Audio Recording Storage: Audio streams are processed live in-memory and are never stored on hard disks or uploaded to cloud storage servers.
- No Voice Biometrics: Nexa AI does not create, store, or analyze voice biometric profiles.
- Immediate Memory Purge: All temporary transcription buffers are instantly wiped from RAM upon ending a meeting session or closing the overlay window.
3. Local Encryption & Security
All transient data buffers maintained while the application is active are encrypted in memory using AES-256 local encryption vectors. No telemetry data containing personal speech or meeting content is collected or sent back to our servers.
4. Third-Party Services & Proctor Safety
Nexa AI runs on an isolated Ring-3 kernel OS window layer. It does not inject code into your browser DOM or record external applications, ensuring compliance with privacy standards and maintaining zero impact on external systems.
